Tools for the Sound Artist

Here you'll find a list of equipment and software I use to create, experiment, and play with the sonic landscape for movies, video games, and all sorts of visual/non-visual media.

Note:    While these (often expensive)  pieces of equipment and software may be great, they are not at all necessary to get started in making some noise. As long as you have access to a modern computer, you can get by with a simple recorder (or an app on your phone), some earbuds, and a free/lite-version DAW.

Ultimately, it's about learning to make the most with what you got.
I've also listed some free software, so you can get started on your own sound journey.
